Leask Architects is an Edinburgh-based practice delivering commercial and residential projects across Scotland. We’re known for a detailed, practical approach—resolving the tricky parts early so projects stay calm, buildable and cost-aware. From live refurbishments to new-build work, we lead and coordinate the wider team to keep design, approvals and delivery aligned.

David Maison (BArch (Hons), Dip Arch, ARB, RIAS)

David leads with a calm, holistic approach that keeps design, approvals and delivery moving in the same direction. He’s highly cost-aware and technically rigorous, making sure what’s drawn is buildable — and built as intended.

Director
Rhodri Williams BSc, BA (Hons), MArch, ARB, RIBA, RIAS)

Rhodri brings a strong client perspective and a sharp eye for design, value and how spaces function in real life, shaping clear spatial layouts with a holistic approach from concept through to completion. He is detail led and delivery minded, coordinating the wider team so decisions land clearly while the bigger picture stays in view.

Architect / Executive Consultant
Michael David Kelman (BSc, BArch (Hons), ARB, RIAS)

Michael brings decades of commercial experience and a clear understanding of how projects impact operations, programme and investment. Hospitality and brewing-focused, with deep experience across restaurants, bars and hotels bringing practical, commercial thinking that keeps delivery moving.

Architect
Niall Hedderman (BSc, BA(Arch) Hons, RIAS, RIBA)

Niall specialises in residential alterations and extensions, with a real talent for “layout surgery” — fixing flow, light and storage without overcomplicating things. He’s careful with detail and buildability, helping projects feel calm from design through to site.

Manuel Vazquez Beltran (Architect, ARB)

Manuel supports projects with strong 3D thinking and clear visualisation that helps clients and teams make confident decisions early. He brings a practical technical mindset too, helping resolve details so what’s proposed is realistic and buildable.

Practice Manager
Rebecca Gable Rex (BSc, BVM&S, MRCVS)

Rebecca keeps the practice running smoothly across operations, finance, admin, marketing, CPD and compliance. Her organisation and consistency underpin a calm client experience and reliable project delivery.
